Crew Leader for 2016 field season

Are you a hard worker? Do you like working with people? We are a family-run, wholesale cut flower farm in Central Vermont seeking an experienced crew leader to work alongside and direct the field crew in daily tasks during our field season.

Good communication and leadership skills are essential. Some farm work experience and people management required. Previous cut flower/horticulture knowledge and experience strongly preferred. Heavy machine (tractor, skidsteer) operation helpful.

Seasonal, full-time position, May through October. In June, peony season requires three weeks of work at up to 60 hours/wk.

Starting pay depends on experience, and crew leader has the potential to grow into a field manager position.

Full and Part time Field Crew for 2016

We are seeking an amazing team of field workers for our 2016 season. The ideal applicant would be energetic, able to work well with a crew and independently, and have excellent quality control while working quickly and efficiently. Previous farm experience a huge plus. Must be trustworthy, reliable and responsible, and be motivated to grow and harvest beautiful flowers!

Duties include all aspects of flower production, including harvesting crops, bunching flowers, digging, planting and weeding, mulching, mowing and pruning. Other work inside the packing shed includes washing buckets, making boxes and preparing flowers to be shipped.

Reliable transportation required. Please note: we are a smoke-free farm. Seasonal work from May-October, with short term positions (June peony harvest) also available (see below).

Short-term Flower Pickers Needed 2016

Interested in doing the glorious work of picking flowers? We need short-term workers for our June peony season. You basically pick flowers all day long on a beautiful farm. (Rain or shine, so have good rain gear and a positive attitude!) Full time only, for about 3-5 weeks. Flexible hours, including weekends.

Late season (August-October) FT and PT Field Workers 2016

Are you interested in cut flower farming? Do you want to work in a gorgeous setting in Central Vermont? We have the job for you!

We are a family operated cut flower farm in Roxbury Vermont and are seeking late-season field crew for our digging/dividing season August 15-October 15. We have some crops to harvest during that time, but work will largely center around digging and dividing perennials for sale and propagation on the farm.

The ideal applicant would be interested in sustainable agriculture, energetic, able to work well with a crew and independently, and have excellent quality control while working quickly and efficiently. Previous farm experience a huge plus. Must be trustworthy, reliable and responsible, and be motivated to grow and harvest beautiful flowers!
